Spring visits are in full swing and the 2025 cycle is picking up steam as we are halfway through the month of April.

Fifteen of 32 five-star prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — have already announced their college decisions.

Below are the top 25 classes in the 2025 cycle, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. We break down which programs have the top prospects in the country:

1. Ohio State — 95.887

Early in the 2025 cycle, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and his staff have gotten busy. Of the Buckeyes’ 13 commitments, nine are on that side of the ball and five are in the secondary. Ohio State holds commitments from two of the nation’s top cornerback recruits — Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord and Five-Star Plus+ corner Devin Sanchez. Its class also includes blue-chip EDGE Zahir Mathis, four-star cornerback Blake Woodby and top-70 linebacker Tarvos Alford.

IMG Academy EDGE London Merritt, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic four-star cornerback DeShawn Stewart and talented in-state safety Cody Haddad have all joined the class since late March.

On the offensive side, OSU has already locked up its quarterback in the class with elite passer Tavien St. Clair. He’s joined by elite local four-star offensive tackle Carter Lowe, four-star tight end Nate Roberts and Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic four-star receiver De’zie Jones.

2. LSU — 95.592

Of LSU’s 12 pledges, 11 check in as blue-chip prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking. The class features three five-stars (QB Bryce Underwood, RB Harlem Berry, WR Dakorien Moore) and eight four-star prospects.

Eight of the 12 future Tigers hail from the state of Louisiana, a recruiting priority for head coach Brian Kelly since he took over. In 2024, LSU signed 13 of the state’s top 17 prospects, including nine of the top 10.

New Iberia (La.) Westgate cornerback Jaboree Antoine and Laurel (Miss.) interior offensive lineman Tyler Miller also rank inside the top 100.

3. USC — 94.339

A busy two-week span between late March and early April for Lincoln Riley and his staff now brings USC’s recruiting class to 12 total commitments. It was a successful March 24 for USC as four Trojans commitments came on that day. Manchester (Ga.) five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry started things off by flipping from in-state Georgia. He was joined by Warner Robins (Ga.) top-40 EDGE Isaiah Gibson, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin top-70 safety Hylton Stubbs and Austin (Texas) Lake Travis defensive lineman Gus Cordova.

Carrollton (Ga.) five-star quarterback Julian Lewis is a comparatively long-time member of this USC class, having pledged to the Trojans back in August. Since March 24, the Trojans have picked up commitments from San Clemente (Calif.) top-100 linebacker Matai Tagoa’i, Colleyville (Texas) Southlake Carroll three-star running back Riley Wormley, Baltimore City College On300 four-star receiver Romero Ison, Dinwiddie (Va.) County On300 four-star running back Harry Dalton, Chattanooga (Tenn.) Oakland three-star athlete Daune Morris and Upland (Calif.) three-star cornerback Trestin Castro.

4. Clemson — 93.624

1 five-star | 9 four-stars | 1 three-star | 11 total commits
Top Commit: Norfolk (Va.) Maury five-star EDGE Ari Watford, No. 28 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Clemson’s 11-man class consists of 10 blue-chip prospects, including the nation’s No. 28 recruit in Norfolk (Va.) Maury four-star EDGE Ari Watford. Watford pledged to the Tigers near the end of January.

Nine additional four-star recruits are committed to the Tigers, including: Durham (N.C.) Southern defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy running back Gideon Davidson, Lake City (S.C.) South Florence defensive lineman Amare Adams, Buford (Ga.) offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs, Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic quarterback Blake Hebert, Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy interior offensive lineman Easton Ware and Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep tight end Logan Brooking.

Anderson (S.C.) Belton-Honea Path three-star running back Marquise Henderson, Woodbridge (Va.) Freedom three-star wide receiver Carleton Preston and Cedartown (Ga.) four-star corner Tae Harris have each joined the class since December.

5. Notre Dame — 92.564

Top Commit: Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange four-star SAF Ivan Taylor, No. 53 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

The 19-man class consists of 11 blue-chip prospects, quarterbacked by No. 7 QB Lucedale (Miss.) George County four-star Deuce Knight. Knight committed to the Irish in September. Delran (N.J.) St. Joseph’s Prep four-star linebacker Anthony Sacca is the most recent recruit to pledge to the Irish.

Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange four-star safety Ivan Taylor headlines the class. Waukesha (Wis.) Catholic Memorial four-star offensive tackle Owen Strebig, Chicago Simeon four-star EDGE Christopher Burgess, Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy four-star tight end James Flanigan, Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall On300 five-star offensive tackle Will Black and Tampa Jesuit four-star running back Justin Thurman all rank inside the On3 Industry top 400.

6. Alabama — 92.450

Top Commit: Eastman (Ga.) Dodge County four-star ATH Darrell Johnson, No. 37 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Alabama’s 10-man class consists of seven blue-chip prospects. Eastman (Ga.) Dodge County four-star athlete Darrell Johnson ranks No. 37 nationally and headlines the group after committing to the Tide on March 20.

Alabama commits Selma (Ala.) Southside four-star athlete Derick Smith and Montgomery (Ala.) Carver four-star running back Anthony Rogers both rank inside the top 110. Saraland (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman flipped from Alabama to Auburn in December before returning his allegiances to Tuscaloosa in early March. Denton (Md.) North Caroline four-star athlete Zymear Smith and Los Angeles Mater Dei four-star linebacker Abduall Sanders join Johnson, Derick Smith and Coleman in a very busy March for Bama recruiting.

April has been just as busy for the Tide, picking up Rome (Ga.) four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon and Millville (N.J.) speedy wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks.

7. Georgia — 91.816

Georgia lost five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry to USC in late March, but still holds a top-10 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Folkston (Ga.) Camden County five-star tight end Elyiss Williams headlines the class alongside fellow top-150 prospect Jadon Perlotte — linebacker from Buford (Ga.).

The group also includes latest commit, Hillside (N.J.) four-star EDGE Darren Ikinnagbon. He’s joined by Alpharetta (Ga.) four-star tight end Ethan Barbour, Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove three-star running back Bo Walker, four-star IOL Mason Short and Humboldt (Tenn.) defensive lineman Stephon Shivers.

8. Texas — 91.557

Top Commit: Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove four-star EDGE Lance Jackson, No. 47 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

The class kicked off with a bang back in June, as Saraland (Ala.) four-star quarterback K.J. Lacey pledged to the Longhorns. The gunslinger has continued to rise in the On3 Industry Ranking and now checks in as a top-10 player at his position.

Lacey has since been flanked by four others since December. Calhoun (Ga.) four-star tight end Emaree Winston and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie four-star defensive lineman Brandon Brown committed to UT on back-to-back days.

Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove four-star EDGE Lance Jackson pledged in January, while Dallas Skyline four-star linebacker Elijah Barnes and Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill four-star running back Rickey Stewart Jr. committed this month.

9. Auburn — 91.476

Top Commit: Highland Home (Ala.) four-star EDGE Jakaleb Faulk, No. 110 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star offensive tackle Tavaris Dice joined Highland Home (Ala.) four-star EDGE Jakaleb Faulk, Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford and Opelika (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Malik Autry in mid-March. The Tigers’ most recent commitment came on April 10 from Mobile (Ala.) Williamson four-star offensive tackle Carde Smith.

This class also includes commitments from Buford (Ga.) four-star cornerback Devin Williams, Athens (Ala.) offensive tackle Spencer Dowland and a pair of tight ends in Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton’s Ryan Ghea and Peachtree City (Ga.) Mcintosh’s Hollis Davidson.

10. Florida State — 91.432

Top Commit: Jacksonville Raines five-star IOL Solomon Thomas, No. 20 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

The quartet of FSU commits are split on offense and defense. The current headliner in the class is Jacksonville Raines five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas — who ranks No. 20 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking.

On the offensive side, Thomas is flanked by Jacksonville Mandarin three-star quarterback Tramell Jones. The 6-foot, 185-pound signal-caller may be just the No. 32 QB in the cycle, but his stock has continued to rise since his pledge to FSU in April 2023.

On defense, Cocoa four-star EDGE Javion Hilson is a former Alabama pledge who joined the fold in Tallahassee in January following the retirement of Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. He is a top-50 overall recruit. Sanford Seminole four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard is also committed to FSU and is the No. 35 player at his position.

11. Oklahoma — 91.232

Offense and in-state targets have been the focus early on in the 2025 cycle for OU, with four of their 13 commitments hailing from the Sooner State. Co-offensive coordinator Seth Littrell has his quarterback with four-star Kevin Sperry out of the Oklahoma City area. His pledge has helped spur on a string of receiver commitments, led by in-state four-star Elijah Thomas Texas-based three-star Gracen Harris.

Upper Marlboro (Md.) Dr. Henry Wise four-star defensive lineman Trent Wilson committed on April 10. Cypress (Texas) Bridgeland four-star offensive tackle Ryan Fodje, Oklahoma City Carl Albert four-star athlete Trynae Washington and Houston Atascocita four-star running back Tory Blaylock are also members of this class.

12. Texas A&M — 90.919

Top Commit: Corona (Calif.) Centennial four-star QB Husan Longstreet, No. 44 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

April 14 was a good day for Texas A&M, picking up Corona (Calif.) Centennial four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet and Denton (Texas) Ryan four-star IOL Marcus Garcia. Six of the Aggies’ seven commits are blue-chips — including Katy (Texas) Paetow four-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway, DeSoto (Texas) four-star running back Deondrae Riden and Forney (Texas) four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins.

13. Oregon — 90.895

Tampa Bay Tech five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson headlines the class for Oregon, ranking No. 22 in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s joined by San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln four-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr. in the top 100.

Concord (Ca.) De La Salle four-star defensive lineman Matthew Johnson joined the class in February and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie interior offensive lineman Sandman Thompson committed in May. Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep four-star receiver Cooper Perry is the latest to join the class, committing on April 10.

14. Miami — 90.522

Top Commit: Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star LB Elijah Melendez, No. 155 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

A pair of tight end recruits headline the month of April for Miami in Cincinnati Lakota West four-star Luka Gilbert and Leo (Ind.) four-star Brock Schott. Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star LB Elijah Melendez headlines the class and is joined by Tampa Armwood four-star running back Girard Pringle, Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star quarterback Luke Nickel, Boynton Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central four-star receiver Waden Charles and Quincy (Fla.) Gadsden County three-star offensive tackle Lamar Williams.

15. Penn State — 90.408

Top Commit: Elba (Ala.) four-star RB Alvin Henderson, No. 116 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

The linebacker room is set to be stacked in Happy Valley. Three of the four highest-ranked commits in the fold for PSU are all LBs. Jersey City (N.J.) Henry Snyder four-star DJ McClary headlines as a near top-100 overall prospect. McClary is flanked by Latrobe (Pa.) Greater four-star Alex Tatsch and Pittsburgh Imani Christian four-star Dayshaun Burnett.

Elba (Ala.) four-star running back Alvin Henderson is the top recruit in the class and committed on April 11.

Pittsburgh North Catholic three-star tight end Brady O’Hara is a top-20 player at his position. Beebe (Ark.) The Woodlands three-star running back Kiandrea Barker and Aliquippa (Pa.) three-star RB Tiqwai Hayes provide some firepower in the backfield.
